Beauty NVQs & VRQs At Elite School Of Beauty Therapy In Hertfordshire
We offer supervised NVQ learning courses at our beauty training school in Hertfordshire where you will be fully supported as you learn how to do the latest beauty treatments. By choosing this route you will gain considerably more practical training from an experienced, supportive tutor. The course ensures you gain the experience, knowledge and competency required so you gain the best chance of gaining employment or setting up your own business. Courses are limited in size with only 4-6 students to give you as much time and help as possible.
You will be asked to complete written assignments at home which we will mark for your portfolia, and undertake written exams at the end of each unit. The qualification must be completed within 12 months of your start date. Once completed, successful students gain the NVQ qualification which is widely recognised within the beauty industry.
We also offer VRQs which are stand-alone national qualifications on specific units. For example, if you intend to only specialise in facials, then you might want to consider a VRQ In Facial Skincare. As well as attending your chosen VRQ beauty course at Elite School of Beauty Therapy in Bishop's Stortford, you will need to complete a health & safety unit, written assignments and case studies, incorporating before & after photos of your work.

NVQ Level 2 In Beauty
20 Days - £3,500 (plus approx £130 exam and registration fees)
Ideal for individuals wishing to work in the beauty industry. You will learn all the basic beauty treatments from facials to manicures.

What To Expect
You will learn how to perform facials, eyelash tinting, make-up, waxing, manicures and pedicures. You will also complete your Health & Safety unit and relevant Anatomy & Physiology. This course is held twice a week over 10 weeks or once a week over 20 weeks.
NVQ Level 3 In Beauty (general route)
20 Days - £3,500 (plus approx £130 exam and registration fees)
This course is essential if you are a non-medic who wants to move onto more advanced courses in Aesthetics.
Experience Required
NVQ Level 2 is preferable, or a facial qualification.
What To Expect
Learn how to do electrolysis, massage, lash extensions, female intimate waxing, face and body electrical treatments - galvanic, electro muscle stimulation, micro-current, lymphatic drainage, microdermabrasion, high frequency (direct & indirect), micro-lance. Plus health & safety and Anatomy & Physiology.
Level 3 NVQ In Massage
20 Days - £3,500 (plus approx £130 exam and registration fees)
Discover how to do various forms of massage, plus key beauty treatments, to allow you to work within the beauty industry.

What To Expect
You will learn Swedish body massage, Indian head massage, massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils, hot stone massage, eyelash extensions, tanning, female intimate waxing and all relevant Anatomy & Physiology. This course is held twice a week over 10 weeks or once a week over 20 weeks.
Level 2 VRQ In Facial Skincare & Massage
2 Days - £699 (plus approx £130 exam and registration fees)
A two-day intensive course where you will learn all about facials & skincare.

What To Expect
Gain a nationally-recognised qualification where you specialise in facials and skincare. You must also complete a health & safety unit, written assignments and case studies incorporating before & after photos for your portfolio. This is a 2 day course, plus 1 assessment day.
Level 3 VRQ In Electro-Therapy
4 Days - £1,400 (plus approx £130 exam and registration fees)
An advanced course where you learn how to do various electro-therapies including microdermabrasion & microcurrent facials.
Experience Required
Pre-requisite Level 2 Facial qualification.
What To Expect
You will learn how to perform galvanic, micro-current, microdermabrasion and high frequency facial treatments. You must complete a health & safety unit, written assignments & case studies with before & after photos for your portfolio. This is a 4 day intensive course, plus 1 assessment day.
Level 3 VRQ In Epilation
3 Days - £1,200 (plus approx £130 exam and registration fees)
Complete 3 days' intensive training on hair removal using epilation methods. Gain a nationally-recognised qualification.

Epilation or Electrolysis is a permanent method of removing hair using an electrical current. Learn how to prepare for and carry out epilation treatments.
